It's Too Old School At Wimbledon

'TIS a quaint olde tournament, is Wimbledon - or The Championships, as the Brits call it. And it's not before time that the All England Championships is moving with the times.

Wimbledon is a lot of fun with its traditions and reminders of the Empire, provided it doesn't rain all the time. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is where the problems arise. In this day and age it is possible to counter the wet conditions and that means - hasten the construction of the roof over centre court. And that Sunday rest day? Give it a miss. In fairness to the players, spectators and a worldwide television audience, it's time to move into the 21st century.
